Who "I" Yam

Mike Masin

As Popeye said, “I yam what I yam”. I’m a professional programmer and a Certified ShopSite Designer and I like what I do very much. I also like helping people and developing solutions.

I listen to music (country, rock, oldies and classical). I cook (from scratch when I have the time), play poker, read to relax and do a little bit of this and that. I’ve never met a horse that I didn’t like but I’m sure that the reverse isn’t true. Watching the morning workouts at the track is a real treat.

I started in IT in the mid-1970s. My first serious programming language was IBM 360 Assembler and I still remember the feel of the keyboard of an IBM 029 Card Punch. I’ve learned and used many languages since then.  (I think the most esoteric was MUMPS which I wrote for DEC PDP-11 and Harris Computers.) I even had a Harris minicomputer in my dining room for about a year.

I yam who I yam and I’m happy being who I yam.
